Auscham Board Member, Brian O’Reilly gives details on the Hash House Harriers’ fund raiser for Loreto. See below.

Every year the Saigon Hash House Harriers hold a Red Dress Run to raise money for Charity. What that means is that all Hashers, regardless of gender, have to don a red dress, wigs, makeup etc and run or walk for about 7km in the Vietnamese countryside.

For some of the male Hashers, this brought Kyote Ugly to a whole new level.

This year the run was lead by AusCham’s own board member Brian O’Reilly. Luckily the rain was avoided so no running of makeup.

However, this fun had a very specific purpose and that is to help less advantaged children in Vietnam.

The VND 33,000,000 raised will, through Loreto Vietnam (AusCham Member), help students obtain an education through the WHEELS FOR EDUCATION program.

Thank you to all who contributed and joined us on the day and to AusCham for supporting this great event.

See you all again next year.
