Calling for comments on Draft Decree on carbon development plan

Dear AusCham Members and Friends,

Two years ago, the Government assigned Ministry of Finance (MOF) to coordinate with Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) to develop and submit a carbon market development plan. The plan is expected to clarify all the key aspects to facilitate the implementation of the carbon market. The pilot phase of the market is expected to begin by 2025, with full operation scheduled for after 2027. 

MONRE is currently receiving comments on a Draft Decree revising Decree 06/2022/ND-CP to introduce new regulations on carbon credits, the carbon market (as emissions quotas) and ozone layer protection.
