[VBF Investment & Trade WG] - Calling for input in preparation for Technical meeting with MPI

Dear AusCham Members,

We are pleased to inform you that the Investment & Trade Working Group, operating under the Vietnam Business Forum (VBF), is organizing a technical meeting with the Ministry of Planning and Investment. This meeting aims to address significant matters of relevance and prepare for the upcoming Annual VBF Forum in March 2024.

The Investment & Trade Working Group, originally established as the Manufacturing and Distribution Working Group in 1998, has played a crucial role in harmonizing the legal framework for business and investment activities of both local and foreign enterprises. Through active participation in the development of common investment and enterprise laws, close collaboration with the Government and associations, and adaptation to new regulations in line with WTO commitments, the Working Group has facilitated the integration of businesses and the utilization of associated benefits.

The Working Group's current activities encompass a wide range of legal and policy aspects, including technology transfer, public-private partnerships (PPP), cybersecurity, and letters of intent/letters of endorsement (LOI/LOE).

As members of AusCham, who are an esteemed Associate Member of VBF, we encourage you to share any issues or concerns you may have in terms of investment and trade in Vietnam with the format as follows:
