…Vietnam has more than 130,000 students studying abroad, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET). Of these, 38,000, or 29.2 per cent, study in Japan.
Meanwhile, 31,000 students are in Australia, which accounts for 23.8 per cent of all Vietnamese students overseas. Vietnam was fourth in the number of students studying in Australia this year, according to a report from Australia’s Department of Education and Training.
The US is also a favored destination for Vietnamese students, with 28,000, or 21.5 per cent of the total, now studying in the country. Vietnam topped Southeast Asia in the number of students in the US in 2015, with 19,000, according to the US Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City…
