Last night (5 February 2018), Director Shane O’Connor officially tendered his resignation at AusCham’s monthly Board meeting.

Shane, the General Director for the Commonwealth Bank’s HCMC Branch, will return to Australia at the end of this week.

President Chau Ta sincerely thanked Shane for his dedication and commitment to AusCham over the preceding 12 months and wished him well with his new position with CBA back in Australia.

In reply, Shane said that he had very much enjoyed his time on the AusCham Board. Shane added that he believed the Chamber had made real progress in the past year and was well placed to deliver on high profile events in 2018 such as the Australian Business Awards.

On behalf of the Board, staff and members, we thank Shane for his important contribution to the development of AusCham.

Would you like to serve on AusCham’s Board?

AusCham’s 2018 Annual General Meeting will be held jointly in Hanoi and HCMC on 27 March 2018.

Each year, there is a spill of all Directors’ positions and a new Board (four from Hanoi and eight from HCMC) must be elected by Voting Members.

Nominations to stand for election will open one month prior to the AGM. Eligibility to stand for election is restricted to members of AusCham with voting rights.
