Responsibilities: The successful applicant will be required to:

1. Accounting 
• Maintain computerized general ledger, including:
• Preparation of invoices
• Entry of payments and receipts in the general ledger
• Prepare post journal entries
• Reconcile general ledger accounts
• Monitor bank accounts on both a daily and weekly basis
• Calculate depreciation and amortization
• Maintain petty cash float and records
• Prepare monthly financial reports including balance sheet and income & expenditure statement
• Prepare quarterly cashflow statement
• Assist Treasurer and Executive Director prepare annual budget, and analyse operating results against budget

2. Payroll

• Prepare monthly payroll
• Prepare monthly Personal Income Tax declarations
• Lodge PIT returns and pay PIT on a monthly basis
• Prepare and lodge annual PIT reconciliation and finalization on behalf of AusCham staff

3. Other
• Provide ad hoc assistance for other departments, as required by Executive Director

Technical capacity

i. Education / qualification
• University degree in Accounting
• TOEIC level 800 or equivalent
• Professional qualification (VCPA, ACCA, CPA) well regarded

ii Experience
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a membership organisation where English is the primary communication language

iii Technical knowledge
• Above-average proficiency in written and spoken English and English comprehension
• Understanding of a membership and service organisation
• Understanding of Vietnamese business environment
• Experience with MYOB or similar software preferred
• Knowledge of Vietnamese tax laws
• Proficiency in MS Office programs
• Data and information management skills
• Cheerful and outgoing personality

• Team player, with capacity to work independently
