The Football Federation of Australia is reporting that Australia’s U23 Football (Soccer) Team, the Olyroos has been drawn in Group D of the 2016 AFC Under-23 Championship.

The Olyroos will face Vietnam, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates in their Group.

The draw took place yesterday in Doha.

In total, there are four Groups (each with four teams) and a total of 16 teams. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the knockout stage. The winner, the runners-up and the third-placed team will qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Football Tournament.

In other news, Australia’s U16 Australian football team has just arrived in Ha Noi to prepare for the AFC U16 Championship 2016 qualifiers, although they start only on September 16, reports Vietnam News.
