1000 FREE MEDICAL CHECKS, 1000 DENTAL TREATMENTS AND 100 CASES CATARACT OPERATIONS FOR POOR PEOPLE IN 8 VILLAGES OF NGOC HOIDISTRICT, KONTUM PROVINCE IN JULY – AUGUST 2017
A medical team consists of Australian doctors, dentists, and health professionals will travel to Vietnam on 28 July 2017 to help poor people in Vietnam. The mission will last for one week and will provide free medical checks, dental treatments, cataract surgeriesand humanitarian aid in 08 villages of Ngoc Hoi district, Kontum Province.
AusViet Charity Foundation has chosen this area as a part of its yearly plan. This coastal village is considered one of the poorest areas that frequently suffered from monsoon, typhoon and environmental hardship. People in that village especially children are suffered from many ailments but cannot afford treatments despite the help and supports of local government and charities. However, it has yet been visited by any international medical team.
The group of 40 volunteers from many parts of Australia will work with 30 local health professional volunteers to provide 1000 general medical checks, 1000 dental treatments, 100 cataract operations and humanitarian aid from 29th July 2017 to 3rd August 2017.
The mission estimated cost is more than 150 thousand Australian dollars. The fund is generously donated by Australian community especially the Vietnamese community in Australia. Medicines, medical and dental supplies are donated by Australian companies to use in this mission. The Australian volunteers, in addition, contribute their services free of charge and also meet their own travel and accommodation expenses.
AusViet Charity Foundation is a non-profit charity organisation registered with Australian Charity and Non-Profit Commission and is approved for tax exemptions and deductibility by Australian Taxation Office. It also is approved by Vietnameseauthority to operate as an international non-government organisation to operate in Vietnam.
