Australian company opens factory in Hanoi to shorten delivery times.
NS BlueScope Lysaght Vietnam, a member of a leading 160-year-old Australian corporation, BlueScope Steel Limited, has announced its business strategy will further focus on Vietnam’s north to better serve market needs.
As part of the strategy, NS BlueScope Lysaght Vietnam commenced the operation of a factory at the Quat Dong Industrial Zone in Thuong Tin district, Hanoi, thereby shortening delivery times to the northern market.
“After 25 years in Vietnam, we have accumulated a deep understanding of the local market and applied our modern technology with over a century of professional experience to design breakthrough solutions suitable for market needs that only NS BlueScope Lysaght Vietnam is able to provide and deploy,” said Mr. Nguyen Cao Tri, President, NS BlueScope Lysaght Vietnam.
“We consider the northern market and its two major cities of Hanoi and Hai Phong as well as other large industrial zones as having potential for BlueScope’s high-quality construction solutions. Therefore, we decided to boost productivity and business in the region in the expectation that our unique solutions will be present in more buildings, thereby partially changing the scenario of the north’s construction industry in particular and Vietnam’s in general.”
With a view to realizing its business strategy, Lysaght focuses its strength in three main fields: setting up new standards for industrial plants with roofing and walling solutions; contributing to the development of high-tech agriculture with Lysaght Agrished solution; and modernizing urban areas through a number of skyscrapers with its unique Bondek II solutions. Its pioneering, advanced Australian standard and unmatched copy technology are the key to NS BlueScope Lysaght Vietnam’s reputation over the past two decades.
NS BlueScope Lysaght established a presence in Vietnam in 1993 and is now the leading supplier of steel solutions for major industrial and commercial projects nationwide. Coca-Cola, Vinamilk, Unilever, Yamaha, ICI Dulux, Maple Tree, Panasonic, and Pomina Steel have entrusted NS BlueScope Lysaght to build their factories. Lysaght Agrished has also been installed by numerous large farms like the Viet-Australia Shrimp Farm, a Chicken Farm in Hoa Binh, and the CP Chicken Farm in Binh Phuoc, among others.
Lysaght’s Bondek II is present in several symbolic skyscrapers in Vietnam, including the tallest in the country, Landmark81. NS BlueScope Lysaght Vietnam has a long-term commitment to Vietnam and is willing to serve the construction needs of businesses in all fields. It has three factories, in Phu My (Ba Ria Vung Tau province), Bien Hoa (Dong Nai province) and Thuong Tin (Hanoi), with total investment capital of $130 million.
As one of first foreign investors in 1993, NS BlueScope Lysaght created breakthroughs in Vietnam’s construction industry through launching innovative and high-tech steel buildings products and solutions. Its products have been part of Vietnam’s architecture and buildings for well over a decade, shaping so much of what’s been admired in industrial and commercial buildings throughout the country, such as factories, administration offices, sports complexes, commercial centers, warehousing, universities and institutions, hospitals, livestock facilities, farms, and housing- VN Economic Times.
