Nineteen rings in 2014 with New Year banquet

On eye-level with the festivities in Lam Son Square, Restaurant Nineteen is
holding a culinary celebration of its own on January 1. The best wines, premium
cocktails and champagne will be flowing in the restaurant’s New Year’s Day
Lunch or Dinner.

A feast of Asian and Continental specialties will be laid out alongside
just-caught seafood and oysters, garden-fresh salads, delicious soups and
appetizers, barbecue and grill stations, imported cheeses, whole roasted fish
and meats, and a mouthwatering dessert corner. The champagne will be flowing,
and the kitchens will be turning out the city’s finest all day long.

New Year’s Day Lunch or Dinner at The Caravelle is priced at VND
1,280,000++, including a free flow of fine wines and premium cocktails and
complimentary flute of Veuve Clicquot.

Culinary class in session with Michelin-star Chef Christopher Coutanceau

Sharpen your knives for cooking class like no other, as two-star Michelin
chef Christopher Coutanceau takes you through the paces in a one-time lesson at
the Caravelle Hotel. On January 8, fine dining restaurant Reflections will host
Chef Coutanceau for a class on how to prepare the Chef’s selected menu: a
medley of mussels and shells, as well as a grilled red mullet with shrimp
tempura, smoked leek and raspberry vinaigrette. The class is priced at VND
1,480,000 nett per person.

A
rare opportunity for culinary enthusiasts in Saigon presents itself this
January, as Chef Christopher Coutanceau, holder of two Michelin stars at his
namesake restaurant in La Rochelle, cooks a gourmet a la carte menu at the
Caravelle Hotel. Reflections Restaurant will welcome the renowned French
chef-who trained with culinary legends such as Michel Guerard and Ferran
Adria-from January 8 to 12. For diners at Reflections, Chef Coutanceau has
prepared an a la carte menu, a four-course degustation menu, as well as a
testing menu featuring an appetizer of caramelized seared scallops and coral
lobster sauce, a main course of tuna and vegetables piperade with grilled
sardine tapenade and a pineapple ravioli with lychee ice cream, passion fruit
sorbet and angel wings for dessert.

During
the event, fashion designer Pascale Valery Tung Lam will also showcase 30 of her
inspired dresses. Last but not least will be an exhibition about fashion, art
and gastronomy of Mr. Jean LucPechinot, a famous French photographer. Guests are
all welcome to enjoy the great works at the private room of Reflections
Restaurant.

Nineteen cooks up a full-course feast for Tet 2014

Caravelle Hotel is putting on a mouthwatering Lunar New Year Buffet Dinner
of Asian, Western and traditional Tet delicacies at Restaurant Nineteen every
evening from January 30 to February 5.
