One of Vietnam’s most storied
hotels opens a new chapter this month, as Caravelle Saigon in downtown Ho Chi
Minh City raises the curtain on its newly refurbished lobby and seafood buffet
restaurant, Nineteen.

The first guests to see the
Caravelle’s spruced-up Lobby and reception area were welcomed at the hotel in
late October. Together with an upscale redesign, the Lobby debuted a more
interaction Concierge experience and boutique gift shop opening soon carrying a
selection of fine Vietnamese handicrafts, including partnership with locally
established community project organizations.

Early November, the Hotel
reintroduced Restaurant Nineteen following a luxurious makeover. Glowing in a
palette of reflecting golds, soft browns and cream, Nineteen, “best buffet in
town” is now hosting its breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets for guests and
outsiders. Especially, Sunday brunch served from 11:45am to 03:00pm will be
another option for guests to spend some valuable moments relaxing with cosy
atmosphere, good food and wines.

The revitalisation of Caravelle’s
ground-level venues is the first in a series of upgrades set to transform the
historic hotel, which has occupied a prime corner of Lam Son Square since
1959.The renovation, which is Caravelle’s most significant overhaul in 15
years, is targeted for completion in mid-2016. Coming next will be Cafe de
l’Opera and Champagne Corner.
