The President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Dr Vu Tien Loc, will be travelling to Australia in September to promote the:

  1. Vietnam Business Summit, 7 November 2017, Danang. Note, the Vietnam Business Summit is free of charge.
  2. APEC CEO Summit, 8-10 November, Danang

Dr Loc is extremely keen to meet with CEOs and/or their key representatives who are potentially interested in joining these events in Vietnam. As well as formal presentations, Q&A and mingling, Dr Loc is expected to hold several one-on-one meetings.

Australian Information Sessions:

Information sessions will be held in Sydney and Melbourne on the following dates (specific details to be advised):

  • Sydney – Monday, 18 September
  • Melbourne – Thursday, 21 September

Sir Rod Eddington has already “expressed his support and also his participation in the events in Sydney and Melbourne”.

For Australian delegates attending the events in Vietnam in November 2017, there is the possibility (not yet confirmed) of having a courtesy call with the Prime Minister of Vietnam, Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Key members of the cabinet and the leadership team of all 63 provinces will attend the Vietnam Business Summit on 7 November. It is possible to set up meetings for Australian businesses with ministers and provincial leaders where Australian businesses express interest.

Prime Minister Turnbull is scheduled to speak at the CEO Summit.
