Ladies and gentlemen, the export sector is an important factor to boost the economic growth. During the last time, HCMC has developed diversified export promotion activities such as exhibitions of products at trade fairs, and domestic and foreign business networking programs. At the same time, the city has been increasingly focusing on practicing many programs such as: Connecting Businesses – Banks program, Investment stimulus program to create favorable conditions for enterprises to access bank funds with appropriate interest rates.
Through the stimulus program of the city, investment enterprises are able to modernize, industrialize and improve production capacity; reduce costs; enhance the added value of the products to be competitive and expand overseas markets.
With the above efforts, in recent years, the city has had a positive contribution in the metal prongs of national exports, on average 28 per cent/year.
In 2014, HCMC continues to contribute a high proportion to the overall export performance of the country. Its export earnings reached 32 billion USD, up 8.8% compared with 2013. The first 6 months of 2015, excluding the value of crude oil exports, reached 11.28 billion USD, increasing by 8.14% over the same period in 2014 (Source: The socio-economic report of the City).
Ladies and gentlemen, one of the on-the-spot export support programs recently developed is a chain of export showrooms organized by ITPC.

Thereby, the business people can get access to new perspectives, new directions to identify accurate and timely needs of the domestic and export markets.
