Last night, AusCham hosted the Fireside Chat Series with Sister Trish Franklin (an Honourary Lifetime Member of AusCham), founder and CEO of the Loreto Vietnam Australia Program (an AusCham Member).

Trish will return to Australia on the night of her 20th anniversary in Vietnam: 31 July 2015.

The night raised VND7.68 million (after direct costs) for the Loreto Program. (Due to the fund raising nature of this event, members and non members were charged the same amount.)

Special thanks to Professor Gael McDonald, President of RMIT Vietnam, for compering the evening.

Sister Trish Franklin has just confirmed that she will join AusCham’s Fireside Chat Series on Wednesday, 8 April 2015 in HCMC. The Fireside Chat Series will be moderated by President of RMIT University Vietnam, Professor Gael McDonald.

Trish is the founder of Loreto Vietnam Australia Project (LVAP) and has been CEO since its inception in 1997.

Trish is described as “the soul of the LVAP Team enabling all to have direction and effective dynamism. She is driven in her work because of her passion and hopes for young, disadvantaged and disabled children – most especially here in Vietnam where she has lived for 19 years.”

Trish’s contribution in Vietnam has been immense. The ripples from her imminent relocation back to Australia will be felt far and wide – but her legacy will ensure that LVAP’s work remains driven to create positive change.

Save the Date for Wednesday, 8 April from 6-8pm in HCMC (venue to be advised).
