AusCham is delighted to welcome Victorian Government Business Office – Southeast Asia as a Corporate member in 2015/16.
The Victorian Government Business Office South East Asia based in Kuala Lumpur, opened in 2009, joining a network of 18 Victorian Government Business Offices around the globe. The Kuala Lumpur office is the focal point for Victoria’s engagement with Malaysia and the South East Asia Region. The functions of the VGBO are to:
- Represent Victoria’s interest in South East Asia; and
- Provide information and assistance with investment attraction export development, innovation capability, tourism, education, business and skilled migration and bi-lateral relations.
The Office facilitates the ongoing development of cultural and business linkages and Government to Government exchanges to improve mutual understanding and adoption of international best practice.
The Education Services division is responsible for promoting Victoria as a world class education destination, R&D hub and provider of education services to South East Asia. This division will work closely with South East Asia governments; education related institutions and organisations as well as private sector corporations to develop entry points and partnerships for Victoria’s education sector. A priority area is international alumni engagement and we hope to be able to connect through our Linkedln platform “The Victoria Connection – Vietnam”.
