(The South Australian Governor, His Excellency, Hieu Van Le AO), has already been recognised with an Order of Australia (AO) award, and has become the first Vietnamese-born person to be appointed to a Vice-Regal position anywhere in the world.

Today he was recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours with a Companion AO.

Mr Le was awarded for “eminent service to the people of South Australia, to the development of cultural and economic links with Australia’s near neighbours, to the advancement of multicultural inclusion and as a supporter of the arts and education”.
