Last night at AusCham’s Sundowners event in HCMC, President of RMIT University Vietnam, Professor Gael McDonald announced that RMIT would become a Titanium Sponsor of AusCham. For two years (2015 and 2016)!

Professor McDonald said that “RMIT Vietnamis delighted to be a Titanium Sponsor of AusCham. As an Australian educational provider, it is an obvious fit and we look to further strengthen our active involvement with a number of key initiatives.“

AusCham’s President, Brian O’Reillly, on behalf of all members and stakeholders, thanked Professor McDonald for upgrading the sponsorship level from Bronze to Titanium. “This is a very significant development”, said Mr O’Reilly. “RMIT University is playing a critical role in building the Vietnamese economy by building this country’s human capital. This is achieved through RMIT’s wide range of excellent undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including the Executive MBA program. AusCham’s members are continually looking to recruit high quality staff to empower their companies to operate at the next level. ”

AusCham and RMIT University already enjoy a very close relationship. Earlier this year, for example, they co-organised an exclusive Roundtable Discussion with the CEOs and HR Directors of 10 leading international companies in Vietnam. The high powered group examined the strategic HR issues facing the Vietnamese economy over the next five years.

RMIT University Vietnam is an Asian campus of Melbourne-based University RMIT –Australia’s biggest tertiary institution. RMIT Vietnam offers programs from business and management to design and micro engineering, and boasts an impressive range of extra-curricular activities that encourage students to break new ground in their areas of interest.
