Vietjet Air officially transferred its flight operations from Terminal T2 to Terminal T1 at Yangon International Airport in Myanmar on July 12 and has announced it will open Hanoi – Osaka (Japan) and Ho Chi Minh City – Osaka routes later in the year.
Transferring from T2 to T1 in Yangon was made necessary by renovations at the airport as well as Vietjet’s development and will ensure it provides the best services to passengers flying to and from the city.
At T1, Vietjet’s check-in counters are in Row B, Counters 7, 8, and 9. The opening time at check-in counters for international flights remains three hours before departure, while the closing time is 50 minutes before departure.
Terminal T1 opened in March 2016 and is one of the main gateways to Myanmar.
Since the first flight to Yangon in 2015, Vietjet has played an important role in promoting the relationship between the two countries and meeting the travel and trade demand of tourists as well as the two countries’ people.
The Hanoi – Osaka route, meanwhile, will see daily return flights from November 8, with a flying time of over four hours per leg. Flights will depart Hanoi at 1.40am and arrive in Osaka at 7.50am, with return flights leaving Osaka at 9.20am and arriving in Hanoi at 1.05pm (all local times).
The Ho Chi Minh City route will have daily return flights from December 14, with a flying time of more than five hours per leg. Flights will depart Ho Chi Minh City at 1.40am and arrive in Osaka at 8.30am, while return flights will take off at 9.30am and land in Ho Chi Minh City at 1.30pm (all local times).
