Vietjet has donated flight tickets worth VND700 million ($30,850) to the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund.

It has accompanied the fund for five years, presenting billions of VND and meaningful gifts to young ethnic minority students around the country to help their dreams come true.

The Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund was established in 1999 by the Young Pioneers newspaper and has awarded more than 80,000 scholarships to ethnic minority students.

Special Vietjet flights have taken hundreds of students home for Tet (the lunar new year) and the summer holidays.

Vietjet has also continually organized and participated in meaningful activities during holidays and at other times for disadvantaged young people at SOS Villages and social protection centers, in vocational training and job creation for the disabled, and at a center for orphaned and disabled children, etc.

It is the first airline in Vietnam to operate as a low-cost, modern carrier to provide a wide range of services to customers.

Vietjet is an official member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and possesses an IOSA Safety Certificate. In addition to being in the “Top 500 Leading Brands in Asia 2016” and “Best Recruiting Brand in Asia” for many consecutive years, Vietjet was also honored to be the “Best Asian Low-Cost Carrier”, as awarded by TTG Travel Award, in 2015 and having the “Top 3 Fastest-Growing Facebook Fanpages”, according to Socialbakers.

It currently operates 60 A320 and A321 aircraft on more than 385 flights daily, carrying some 60 million passengers to date on 82 routes to destinations in Vietnam and internationally, such as Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Cambodia, and elsewhere. Vietjet plans to expand its network across the Asia-Pacific region and is continuing to expand its regional network.

It has recently signed contracts to purchase new, modern aircraft from the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers – VN Economic Times.
