Earlier this week, Vietnam Airlines began flying its sexy new Boeing 787 Dreamliner (fully flat beds, wifi etc) from Vietnam to London Heathrow. Between Hanoi and HCMC, there are five weekly flights to the UK.
Vietnam Airlines, of course, is the only airline to fly direct to Australia (daily flights to Melbourne and Sydney).
With the addition of the 787 Dreamliner services, Vietnam Airlines’ Kangaroo Route has just become a lot more attractive to people travelling between Australia and the UK. An increase in traffic on Vietnam Airlines should lead to an increase in the number of people wishing to include a stop-over, en route, in Vietnam.
That would be good news for AusCham’s members in the travel business!
