Vietnam’s AFL Asia Club, the Vietnam Swans, has just won the 2015 Manila Cup in Manila this afternoon.

Club President, Grant Keys reports that the Swannies took the 2015 Manila Cup by the narrowest of margins: a single point!!

The Swans played hosts, the Philippine Eagles in the Grand Final.

At half time, the Swannies were down 4 goals to 1 but finished strongly.

The final result was 6-2-38 to Philippine Eagles 6-1-37.

The semi final was also a nail biter for the Swannies who went in at half time 10 points up against the Malaysian Warriors. The Warriors turned it on in the second half and were up by 8pts with just  3 minutes remaining. Enter Bart Schneemann from the Swannies who booted two goals to get us into the Grand Final.

This is the first time the Vietnam Swans have won the Manila Cup.

Now, bring on the 2015 Asian Champs which will be played in Thailand in October.
