The following updated information has been provided by the Australian Consulate-General and is dated 28 June 2016.


Please be advised that the 2016 Federal Election ballot papers have now been received and voting services are able to be offered as previously advised at the Australian Embassy in Hanoi and the Australian Consulate-General in HCMC.

The Australian Federal Election will be held on Saturday 2 July  2016. If you have not already enrolled, it is now too late to enrol to vote in this election.

Early (in-person) voting will be offered at the Consulate-General as well as the Embassy in Hanoi from Monday 20 June 2016. In order to be granted access to the Embassy and Consulate-General to vote in person you will need to bring your current Australian passport as identification.  There are no exceptions to this policy.
