Dear Members and Friends

  • If
you’re interested in Industrial Parks, at 9am tomorrow (Friday), reps will
come and speak to AusCham in our Hanoi and HCMC offices. All welcome.
Please register your interest by emailing us.
  • Friday,
8 August will be Sundowners in Danang / Hoi An with the “Tourism
Operators” theme. Why not plan a weekend away to coincide with this
  • 13
August in Hanoi, (Member) CPA Australia’s Chief Operating Officer will
speak at our Business Briefing. In October, CPA Australia’s Chief
Financial Officer will address a Business Briefing in HCMC.
  • Today
is the deadline for nominating for one of the Working Groups proposed by
President, Tareq Muhmood. Please apply now if you’re keen and interested.
  • Don’t
forget, SME Memberships are available for those companies with fewer than
20 staff. Also, all memberships are now valid for 12 months (rather than
    calendar years).
  • This
weekend, AusCham’s HCMC staff shall join a weekend away with VGAC members
to Vung Tau. AusCham is keen to develop the relationship with Vietnamese
who have studied in Australia. It’s time to celebrate those business
people and officials with an Australian education!
  • I
will be in Hanoi for the week commencing 11 August. Let me know if I can
    meet you.
  • I
will be in Melbourne for the week commencing 18 August (my personal
expense). Let me know if you’re an “AusCham Alumni” (formerly an AusCham
member who has returned to Australia) and want to meet. Also, while I am
in Melbourne, does anyone have any contacts who may be useful for our
Melbourne Cup on Derby Day event (Saturday 1 November, HCMC)?
  • Would
you like to see a Black Eyed Pea at Soul Academy (AusCham Member) next
Tuesday in HCMC? Soul Academy has made 30 complimentary vouchers available
for AusCham Members (membership card must be produced). Click here for details.

For all AusCham events, to
facilitate processing of applications and payments, could you please show your
membership card.

As you can see from the snippet of
information above, AusCham is feeling increasingly like a genuinely National

It’s your Chamber. Get involved!
