Dear Members and Friends

During the week, AusCham’s
President, Tareq Muhmood invited our members to join several new working
groups: Events, Advocacy, Strategic Advisory, Real Estate and “Other”. So far
the response rate, including suggestions, has been very good. If you would like
to become involved, please contact us before the deadline on 25 July. Click here.

Today, we have announced that
AusCham will introduce a new category of membership: SME (Small and Medium
Sized Enterprises). It’s designed for companies with an Australian link and
have less than 20 employees. The 12 month membership fee is VND 8.8 million
(approx. $400) which is approximately $200 cheaper than the category for
corporate members. SME Membership is available for those eligible entities
taking out a new membership, renewing a membership or upgrading an individual
membership. This week, we are very pleased to welcome our first three SME
Members: Platinum Beer, ATS (Avenue to Success) and Industry Travel Asia (ITA
is actually an upgraded individual member). Click here.

Yesterday we finalised the
sponsorship proposal for AusCham’s 2nd Annual Golf Scramble in HCMC which
will be held on 10 October. This Tournament is Fore (!) Business People. The
golf day will bring senior business people together building relationships and
networks – and raise money for charity. So, if you’re interested in being a sponsor
of this high profile event, please contact us for a negotiable sponsorship

Last Friday, the 2nd Friday of the Month, we held our Sundowners event in Danang. Twenty people
attended – who talked about making it bigger and better next month. The
momentum is there and the next Sundowners in central Vietnam will be held on
the 2nd Friday
of the Month
(8 August) in Hoi An at the Victoria Hotel
(AusCham Member). The theme will be tourism. If you’re planning a weekend away
to Danang / Hoi An, make it the 2nd Friday
of the Month
