The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is pleased to invite you to submit comments to inform the development of the Australia-Vietnam Enhanced Economic Engagement Strategy.

The Strategy was announced by Prime Ministers Morrison and Phuc, and will provide a forward-looking, practical plan to strengthen economic, trade and investment links between two or the region’s leading economies.  Vietnam is an increasingly important partner for Australia in the Indo-Pacific.  To date, work on the Strategy has focused a baseline analysis of the economic relationship, including trade and investment opportunities and barriers, COVID-19 impact on each economy’s outlook and potential sectors for deeper engagement.

The Strategy will analyse opportunities and barriers for increased two-way trade, investment and broader economic cooperation, and include a focus on post COVID-19 economic recovery measures.
