As you might
be aware, the Civil Code no. 33/2005/QH11 passed on June 14, 2005 has been being
implemented for nearly 8 years.

The schedule
to revise the current Civil Code has been available and the drafting team has
been established to review its implementation and to draft the Revised
Code.

According to
the plan of the drafting team under Ministry of Justice, the first draft of
Civil Code will be submitted to the 8thsession of
the13thNational Assembly for comments and feedbacks in late 2014. It
is planned that the Revised Civil Code will be passed in the
2015.

To assist the
Ministry of Justice in the process of drafting the Revised Civil Code, we would
like to collect your comments/inputs
regarding:

(i)issues during the
implementation of the Civil Code;
and

(ii)
recommendations to draft the Revised Civil
Code.

If the Revised
Civil Code receives good attention, the consultation round with the drafting
team under Ministry of Justice will be hold in either Hanoi or Hochiminh City in
September.
