AusCham Joins Australian Delegation in Working Session with University of Transport Technology

Hanoi, 28 October, 2025 - AusCham participated in an Australian delegation working session with the University of Transport Technology (UTT), hosted by the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia, to discuss opportunities for enhanced cooperation in education, research, and workforce development.

The delegation was led by Mr. Nguyen Manh Hiep, Representative of the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia, and included representatives from Pedders Suspension and Brakes, Institute of Management and Commerce, Key Options, AusChain, and AusCham, represented by Ms. Huong Tran, Head of Advocacy & Partnerships.

During the meeting, Ms. Huong Tran briefed UTT leadership on AusCham’s role in fostering bilateral business and education ties, and outlined potential initiatives to strengthen collaboration between Australian industry and Vietnamese higher education institutions. Proposed areas of cooperation include joint research, technical training, student development, and international industry engagement.

On the UTT side, Assoc. Prof. Vu Ngoc Khiem, Chairman, together with senior representatives, welcomed the delegation and expressed strong interest in establishing partnerships that would support R&D collaboration, skills development, and career pathways for students.

Both parties affirmed their commitment to exploring partnership opportunities that align with global industry needs and contribute to Vietnam’s talent pipeline in technical and engineering fields.

AusCham will continue to work with UTT and Australian partners to advance follow-up actions and potential joint programs.
