AusCham Meets with Australian Ambassador to Vietnam H.E. Gillian Bird to Present 2025–2026 Strategy

Hanoi, 15 May 2025 – The Australian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (AusCham) was honoured to meet with Her Excellency Gillian Bird, the newly appointed Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, to present its 2025–2026 Strategy and explore avenues for deeper collaboration in support of the Australian business community.
Representing AusCham at the meeting were Mr. Sam Conroy (President), Ms. Natalie Fairlie (Vice President), Mr. Edwin Law (Executive Director), and Ms. Huong Tran (Head of Advocacy & Partnerships).
During the meeting, the AusCham team outlined its strategic priorities for 2025–2026, centred around enhancing member value, strengthening bilateral business relations, supporting policy reform, and fostering a more inclusive and connected business environment. The discussion also highlighted AusCham’s ongoing efforts in advocacy, knowledge-sharing, and the delivery of flagship events including the AusCham Business Awards, Real Estate Symposium, and Charity Ball.
Ambassador Bird welcomed the Chamber’s initiatives and reaffirmed the Embassy’s support for strengthening economic engagement between Australia and Vietnam. Both parties recognised the alignment of AusCham’s strategy with the Australia–Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040 and expressed commitment to ongoing cooperation to advance trade, investment, and sustainable development goals.
This strategic engagement sets a strong foundation for the years ahead and reinforces AusCham’s role as a trusted bridge between the Australian business community and key Vietnamese stakeholders.
Next month, AusCham will host an Online Briefing: Strategy, Leadership & Engagement—an open forum to present our 2025–2026 Strategy to all members and stakeholders by our Leadership Team, to provide a valuable opportunity for members to share their aspirations, feedback, and ideas for AusCham’s future direction. Watch this space for more information on that coming soon!
