AusCham Participates in Consultation Workshop on Policies to Attract New-Generation FDI in Vietnam
Hanoi, 17 September 2025 – AusCham Vietnam was honored to participate in the Consultation Workshop on Policies to Attract a New Generation of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), hosted by the Foreign Investment Agency (FIA), Ministry of Finance. AusCham was represented by Ms. Huong Tran, Head of Advocacy & Partnerships.

The workshop brought together senior representatives from government ministries, local authorities, international organizations, business associations, and major enterprises to deliberate on Vietnam’s strategic direction for attracting high-quality foreign investment.
Key issues under discussion included:
Vietnam’s FDI performance in recent years and future outlook
Global trends in new-generation FDI and lessons from international experience
Policy directions to attract FDI aligned with science, technology, and innovation
Strengthening linkages between foreign investors and domestic enterprises
Advancing sustainable development, the green economy, and new growth drivers
AusCham’s participation reflects its ongoing commitment to ensuring that the perspectives of Australian businesses are well represented in Vietnam’s policy development process.
