AusCham was represented at the Forum by President Sam Conroy, Board Directors Olivia Wood and Rodney Stone, and Executive Director Edwin Law, reflecting the Chamber’s continued engagement in policy and economic dialogue relevant to the Australian business community in Vietnam.

Held under the theme “Collaboration in a New Era,” the Forum is convened by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, with the main programme on 27–28 October co-branded with the World Economic Forum (WEF). The event provides a platform for policy dialogue and international engagement on investment, technology and innovation.
The programme addresses key areas including artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, global value chains, international finance, digital transformation and sustainable development. Sessions also examine how stronger cooperation between governments, businesses and research institutions can support emerging industries and prepare the workforce for technological change.
A highlight of the Forum’s high-level programme was the participation of Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, including a dialogue with Stephan Mergenthaler, Managing Director of the World Economic Forum, on Vietnam’s position in the global future. The programme places emphasis on identifying new growth drivers and strengthening Vietnam’s connections with international economic, financial and technology centres.

For the Australian business community, these discussions are relevant to opportunities across technology, infrastructure, energy, education, financial services and advanced manufacturing. They also provide valuable context for businesses assessing Vietnam’s evolving investment environment and the role of international partnerships in its next phase of development.
AusCham Vietnam welcomes initiatives that connect policymakers and industry and encourage practical cooperation between Australian and Vietnamese businesses.
As the Australia–Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership continues to develop, engagement in regional economic dialogue can help identify shared priorities and opportunities for trade, investment and innovation.
AusCham Vietnam remains committed to supporting connections across the bilateral business community and promoting collaboration that contributes to sustainable economic growth.
