The Australia Vietnam Policy Institute Conference in Adelaide
On Thursday, 17th October, AusCham Vietnam had the privilege of attending the inaugural Australia Vietnam Policy Institute (AVPI) conference, AVPI24. Held at the stunning new Adelaide Marriott Hotel, the event brought together senior Australian and Vietnamese ministers, business leaders, industry experts, and esteemed academics.
It was truly inspiring to be amongst such influential voices shaping the future of the Australia-Vietnam relationship. Key discussions spanned from the sustainable transition to digital transformation, all underlining the importance of building strong, lasting relationships—perfectly aligned with the conference theme: Transition, Transformation, and Trust. Our Executive Director, Edwin Law, delivered a presentation of AusCham's contributions to innovation and impact in the Australia-Vietnam sphere and was joined by Saskia Loer Hansen of RMIT, and Lily Tao of Beanstalk in a panel discussion hosted shortly after.
A huge thank you to Australia Vietnam Policy Institute for hosting this exceptional event, and to the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs for their invaluable support. We also extend our gratitude to AVPI’s knowledge partners, Asialink Business and Asia Society Australia, for delivering interactive and insightful workshops.
We were proud to stand alongside our incredible members, including WoolProducers Australia Ltd., The University of Sydney Vietnam Institute, and RMIT University, and share in thought-provoking conversations about opportunities and challenges in Vietnam's evolving markets, the latest bi-lateral developments, and Vietnam’s remarkable economic transformation.
AVPI24 was an inspiring day filled with rich insights, stories, and a shared vision for the future of Australia-Vietnam relations.
