AusCham’s monthly breakfast “coffee” presentation, in collaboration with LIN Center, provides members with an opportunity to present topics relevant to the greater community, in a casual and engaging discussion and environment. The proceeds raised at the event will be used by LIN Center to assist NGO’s in Vietnam.

Moderator:  | Felicity Brown, Manager, Career Consulting & Development Careers & Industry Relations, RMITFELICITY has 30 years’ experience working in client-focused roles. As an expat Australian, Felicity has lived and worked in Asia for nearly 20 years including Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
After starting her career as a human resources graduate in the banking industry, Felicity next embarked on a fulfilling 20-year international career in the Australian Government.
In Vietnam since 2014, Felicity juggles a portfolio career as a career coach and intercultural facilitator in her own consultancy, while managing the career consulting and development team at RMIT University. |

 | Thao Lam, Executive Director, LIN CenterThao has been LIN’s Executive Director since August 2019. She joined LIN in September 2017 as Finance Director, where she had oversight of all financial and operational functions, including budgeting, forecasting, internal control system, working with donors on grant proposal budgets and financial reporting, communication with Governmental Departments to ensure that the organization’s governance and finance system complied with Governmental regulations, and advised the senior management team and Board of Director on governance decisions. She is described by her colleagues and associates as a trusted partner, a collaborative leader and a relationship builder who deeply commits to the organization’s mission and the community.
Prior to LIN, Thao had seven years of financial management experience in the nonprofit sector. She also was a university lecturer in business finance and has mentored nonprofit emerging leaders on internal controls.
In early 2018, Thao was selected to participate in the US Government’s “Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative” professional program. This exchange program provided an opportunity to broaden her leadership skills and build a wide network with American partners and emerging leaders from different countries who work in the community development sector.
Thao believes that every individual has the ability to make the world a better place, and “the way to change the world is through individual responsibility and taking local action in your own community” (Jeff Bridges). This inspires her to align herself to the Community Development sector. |
