Stopping COVID-19: What can we learn from the Vietnamese and Australian responses? 5 June

The COVID-19 pandemic is having far reaching consequences for many countries. Remarkably, both Vietnam and Australia moved quickly to suppress transmission and are now re-opening their economies. The Sydney Vietnam Initiative will share with you how our researchers developed innovative solutions to transform this challenge into opportunities. We will discuss on similarities and differences in the fight against COVID-19 in Australia and Vietnam. What are the lessons we can learn from the two countries? How can we stop a ‘second wave’ of infections in the months ahead? How can Sydney and Vietnam researchers help control the pandemic in both countries and utilise our networks and resources to support future programs.SpeakersModerator: Associate Professor Greg Fox: Greg Fox leads the Sydney Vietnam Initiative for the University of Sydney. Greg is a Respiratory Physician and epidemiologist leading research into COVID-19 in Australia and Vietnam.
