About
ALV LAWYERS, a Vietnam's professional business law firm, based in Hanoi, founded by Director, Managing Partner, Mr. Duong Quoc Thanh who have been in private practice for over 15 years with leading global and Vietnamese firms, including BakerMcKenzie, VILAF and Techcombank after serving over 10 years as a judge in Hanoi Court.
Before establishing ALV LAWYERS, Mr. Thanh was a Partner of another Corporate Law Firm for a period of five years. ALV LAWYERS focuses on Alternative Dispute Resolution (“ADR”) and Litigation while supporting the Clients with Investment and general corporate matters. The vision of ALV LAWYERS is to become a leading law firm to provide the best ADR and Litigation Lawyers for the Clients in Vietnam and across Asia, in Court, Arbitration and Mediation. Particularly, Mr. Thanh, the Founder, Director and Managing Partner of the firm has been listed in Vietnam Mediation Center (“VMC”) of Vietnam International Arbitration (“VIAC”) has been the one who took and completed the first mediation brought before VMC. Mr. Thanh has been recognized as Top Ten Mediators of Asia Pacific region by Bali International Arbitration and Mediation Center (“BIAMC”) in 2019.
Mr. Thanh has represented Clients before arbitration cases as a Lawyer. He has also acted as Arbitrator in VIAC and has been in the VIAC’s List of Arbitrators since October 2022. As a professional and experienced Litigator, Mr. Thanh has actively represented clients before courts, including requesting the recognition of foreign arbitration award and taking part in several high profile court cases, including the white collar crime cases related to ACB, known as “Bau Kien” case, Vietnam Social Security’s former General Directors and others. With the current Hanoi Head Office, ALV LAWYERS has the plan to open its office in HCMC with the well-trained lawyers and legal assistants of the firm to serve the Clients more properly and effectively.
