KOTO is a not-for-profit social enterprise that started in 1999 in Hanoi. The program targets at-risk and disadvantaged youth—aged 18 to 24—with a 24-month-long training program in vocational hospitality, life skills development and English language acquisition.

To date, KOTO has graduated over 1700 youths. KOTO graduates receive an internationally recognized accreditation from Australia and go on to work in four- and five-star hotels, resorts and restaurants in Vietnam, the region and internationally. Other alumni have opened their own businesses also utilizing the social enterprise model, providing additional opportunities for not only for KOTO trainees, but for the extensive alumni network.
