About
Chau is the Executive Director – Legal Transactions for SC Capital Partners Group and is in charge of all transactions in Pan Asia, including Australia, New Zealand, Maldives, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Greater China and Vietnam. SC Capital Partners Group manages opportunity funds – Real Estate Capital Asia Partners (currently up to Fund VI)
She has over 21 years of work experience in the real estate sector - highly experienced in real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and international corporate/commercial law. Chau has been living and working from Vietnam for 16 years, is highly regarded for her real estate insights and knowledge within Vietnam and is appointed on the Panel of Judges for the Vietnam Property Awards, 2023 being the 8th year. Chau launched the first annual AusCham - Vietnam Real Estate Symposium in 2012 – this is now its 10th year running.
Chau served as a board director of Auscham Vietnam between 2012 -2021. She was the president of Auscham Vietnam in 2017 and 2018.
Chau is a Foundation Member of AustCham ASEAN, served as President in 2020 and 2021 and Vice President in 2022 and continuing.
Chau also sits on the Australia-Vietnam Leadership Dialogue Advisory Board, the UNICEF Vietnam Corporate Advisory Board, the Asian-Australia Education Dialogue Advisory Committee and RMIT Vietnam School of Business Management Industry Advisory Board.
Chau is Australian-raised, bread-fed educated lawyer, holding a Bachelor of Arts /Bachelor of Laws (Honors) and Masters of International Law (Honors) from University of Sydney. She is married to a Vietnamese husband with three children.
