Pete is the current CEO of Comtest Group and a business enthusiast with a keen interest in exploring entrepreneurship dynamics, particularly in Southeast Asia. He is currently pursuing a doctoral thesis on the operational success of Australian SMEs in Southeast Asia, focusing on key elements that SMEs in Australia need to understand and overcome for long-term success. Pete's research reflects his dedication to understanding the challenges and opportunities for small and medium enterprises expanding internationally.
He is also actively exploring opportunities in Southeast Asia, where his company is considering starting new businesses or developing joint ventures. Pete's interest in the region demonstrates a strategic mindset, seeking to leverage the growing market potential and business-friendly environment of many countries within Southeast Asia. With a passion for business development and a focus on practical strategies, Pete is poised to make a meaningful impact in the world of entrepreneurship.
Pete is currently undertaking a Doctor of Business Administration and has qualifications including a master’s degree in business management, a post-graduate certificate in business management, a diploma in frontline business management, and a certificate in policing. He is also a licensed plumber and gasfitter with a restricted electrical license.
Pete was awarded the Master Plumber award in 2000, which included a fully paid study tour in Europe, and a full scholarship in 2006 for The Australian Institute of Management Master’s Degree. He is also newly appointed to the board of the RMIT University Activator program.
Outside of work, Pete enjoys the gym, bike riding (trails, not road), and travel.
