John was the founding Chairman of AusCham’s Ho Chi Minh City Chapter and the first President of AusCham. He was made an honorary member in September 2000. He is also a life member of AustCham Singapore and was inaugural Chairman of Australian Business Asia (2010-2012). He is currently a director and Honorary Secretary of AustCham ASEAN, of which AusCham Vietnam is a Foundation Member. AustAsean Law is focused on helping business navigate the legal landscape across the 10 countries of ASEAN. Its Principal, John Dick, has spent the last 35 years (33 based in Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam) advising businesses on legal aspects of investment in every country in ASEAN. Based in Perth, Western Australia, AustAsean Law is able to provide remote, as well as on the ground, legal advisory services throughout ASEAN. Core to business investment in ASEAN is the development of greenfield projects and the acquisition of existing projects. Working with in-country local counsel, AustAsean Law provides a “whole of project life” service to clients.
