Are you ready to Move for Hope?

Join HopeBox and Australia Vietnam Leadership Dialogue (AVLD) this November to raise money for women who are survivors of gender-based violence. Move for Hope encourages people around the world to move to end violence against women in Vietnam.
AVLD is proud to come on board to co-host Move for Hope 2022. AVLD is an independent not-for-profit initiative that was established to nurture relationships, promote engagement and collaboration between Australian and Vietnamese leaders from a broad spectrum of society.
HopeBox came from the simple idea and mission of helping Vietnamese women who are at risk or have experienced gender-based violence (GBV) obtain a fresh start.
Research from the National Study on Violence against Women in Viet Nam 2019 and ENDING CHILD MARRIAGE empowering girls: UNICEF & UNFPA showed:
- 63% of Vietnamese women have experienced one or more forms of physical, sexual, emotional and economic violence and controlling behaviours by their husbands in their lifetime.
- 32% in the last 12 months.
- 90% did not seek to report the abuse at the time.
- 10% of Vietnamese women aged 20-24 years were found to be married or in union before their 18th birthday.
You can inspire HOPE by raising funds to support a woman who is a survivor of GBV empowering her with the opportunity to go through our 6-month vocational training and trauma healing program at HopeBox.
