The signing ceremony of the funding approval by Tin Thanh Group and Acuity Funding on September 25, 2023, confirms the agreed capital to provide Tin Thanh Group (TTG) with the total amount of up to $6.4 billion USD to the following projects:
- Circa $1 billion USD to develop 4 biomass power plants and thousands of hectares of sorghum cultivation in Central and South Vietnam.
- Circa $1.7 billion USD for TTG to build a tyre retread and truck service plant in South Carolina to serve over 1 million trucks in the US with the goal of reducing emissions, saving costs and transi2oning to green energy. TTG has been granted land and supported from the state of South Carolina with huge incentives over $500 million USD.
- Circa $3.7 billion USD in funding to build a Green Hydrogen manufacturing facility in South Carolina. TTG is partnering with Air Products, a $67 billion corporation on the NYSE. The output will bring a huge change to the automotive industry and especially the polluting outdated coalfired power plants. TTG has received land grant approvals and many investment incentives from the state of South Carolina.
TTG's above projects have been approved and supported by Vietnamese and US authorities and many patents have been registered. The business models and technologies of the projects are highly practical so they can be applied on a global scale.
Business activity from the projects will raise the annual trade between Vietnam, Australia and the US to hundreds of billions of USD and bring a lot of bilateral benefits in the exchange of technology, capital and labor to participate in the development of projects in the three countries and expand worldwide.
The signing ceremony is also a historic milestone marking the largest cross-border trade transaction between Vietnam, the US and Australia with a huge interest from South Korea and India with government representatives attending the ceremony.
This event also lays the foundation for the export of breakthrough technologies, inventions, IP and products from Vietnam and Australia into advanced fields at the forefront of development trends, especially with the values brought to the community through environmental protection, emission reduction, energy and cost savings.
The organisation arranging and managing the capital is Acuity Funding from Australia, with over 30-yearsof operation and being one of the largest fund arrangers in the Asia Pacific with current projects across 20 countries.
Acuity Funding is a non-supervised member of the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) and has the capacity to arrange and manage hundreds of billions of dollars for large-scale projects.
It is also one of the very few organisations capable of arranging cross-border funding and managing international debt.
Acuity is a pioneering business leading the export of investment and services from Australia.
Acuity Funding will also be introducing Hydrogen Technology from Australia into the mix. Acuity Funding and TTG have been working together for a long time and gone through a due diligence process to reach a confirmation of Funding Approval.
This is not a signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) but of legally-binding agreements that provide funds for execution.
After the signing ceremony, funds will be ready for distribution and management of the implementation of business plans in phases.
“I congratulate Acuity Funding and Tin Thanh Group on concluding this pioneering deal. Unlocking green financing is a key challenge in Vietnam. So it is great that an Australian company like Acuity has decided to partner with Vietnam, including through sharing Australian technology for sustainable development. I also wish TTG every success as they pursue innovative and ambitious projects, at home and abroad, aimed at moving Vietnam’s economy up the value chain and towards a high-income future.” - by Australia’s Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr Andrew Goledzinowski
