AusCham welcomes and congratulates Ms Sarah Hooper on her appointment as Australia’s next Consul-General in Ho Chi Minh City.
Ms Hooper is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and most recently led DFAT’s Western Australia State Office. She has served overseas in New Delhi and Jakarta and as an exchange officer in Brunei. Ms Hooper holds an Executive Master of Public Administration from the University of Western Australia and a Bachelor of Arts (Asian Studies) from the Australian National University.
She will be one of the key persons to lead and build the Australia and Vietnam relationship stronger; enhance the economic engagement, deepening strategic, defences and security cooperation, and building the knowledge and innovation partnerships.”
AusCham looks forward to engaging with the newly appointed Consul-General and mutually working towards an exciting 2022 ahead and during her posting to Vietnam.
