Australian Returnee Women in Leadership Project (ARWIL) - Expression of Interest
You are invited to express your interest in participating in this ARWIL project, funded by the Australian Government via Aus4Skills Program, Australian Alumni Grants Fund in Vietnam.

Eligibility:
- Be a female Vietnamese.
- Having completed a training course in Australia.
- Is working in the education sector in Vietnam.
- Is holding a leadership position or having held a leadership position in the past 5 years.
Participants' Activities:
- Participating in seven Zoom-based webinars (with distinguished guest speakers and the project team), 2 hours each, organized every 2-3 weeks during April - Aug 2021.
- Participating in academic paper publication training workshops. - Delivering/contributing to conference presentations. - Contributing book chapters to an edited book.
Participants' Benefits:
- Be part of a Community of Professionals of Australia-trained female Vietnamese returnee educational leaders.
- Be equipped with up-to-date literature on female leadership theories/practices.
- Exchange leadership experiences, enlarge professional network, and advance careers.
- Participate in a 100 participant conference.
- Be guided to develop and deliver a conference paper and/or publish a book chapter.
Project outcomes:
- 40 women participants and 100 conference participants will improve their understanding of the institutional barriers and effective strategies for creating impactful changes in education and advancing their careers.
- 40 participants will apply the knowledge and skills gained from the webinars to better navigate institutional barriers to create impactful changes.
- 45 line managers/mentors of these participants and relevant policymakers will apply knowledge from the practical toolkit to create better policies for advancing returnee women's leadership.
- The edited book and academic journal articles will advance knowledge in foreign-trained returnee women’s leadership and career advancement. These publications will inform similar future studies and policy-making in empowering foreign-trained women returnees.

Vietnamese female participants having completed training in any disciplines, currently taking a leadership role at any levels (junior, middle level, senior, retired from a leadership role in the past 5 years) from any geographical regions (e.g. cosmopolitan/remote/rural areas), working in any educational sectors (e.g. state/private/NGOs) at any educational levels (e.g. kindergarten, primary, secondary, VET, university) are all strongly encouraged to apply.
