MOLISA Workshop on "Policy Information on Labour, Employment and Social Security"

On 28th November 2023, AusCham representative attended Workshop on "Policy Information on Labour, Employment and Social Security" by MOLISA. The workshop's main objectives are to: (i) update new points of Decree 70/2023/ND-CP amending Decree 152/2020/ND-CP regulating about foreign workers working in Viet Nam and recruiting and managing Vietnamese workers working for foreign organizations and individuals in Viet Nam; (ii) inform the proposed amendments and new points of Laws on Employment and Social Insurance, which is expected to take effect in 2024; and (iii) create opportunities to listen to the voices of partners and businesses as well as share international experiences on related labour-employment and social insurance policies. 

AusCham representative welcomed MOLISA attempt to sophisticate the Vietnamese legal system on labour and social insurance and raised several comments on the new Decree 70 on working permission for foreigners.
