The MOU Signing Ceremony Between AusCham Vietnam & VBCWE

Ha Noi, Tuesday 10 January 2023 – AusCham Vietnam and the Vietnam Business Coalition for Women's Empowerment (VBCWE) officially signed an MOU to strengthen the strategic partnership between two organizations promoting workplace gender equality, women empowerment, and anti-discrimination in the business community in Vietnam.

The MOU was successfully signed between Mr. Simon Fraser, Executive Director of AusCham Vietnam and Madam Ha Thu Thanh, Chairperson of VBCWE and Deloitte Vietnam. The ceremony was held at Deloitte Ha Noi office and witnessed by Ms. Cherie Russell, Development Counsellor, Australian Embassy Representatives, AusCham and VBCWE Board Directors. 

The MOU between VBCWE and AusCham includes, but not limited to;

•    Exchange rights and benefits values for AusCham and VBCWE members (depending on the scope and ability of cooperation between the two parties)
•    Coordination of conferences, forums, talk shows, conversations, and training on how to ensure equal values in the workplace, cultural diversity and inclusion, holistic leadership, sexual harassment prevention, and other themes relating to gender equality in the workplace and women's empowerment. 
•    Committed to assisting network businesses in improving policies and procedures to ensure cultural diversity and inclusion, as well as to provide an equal and inclusive working environment for both genders.

AusCham and VBCWE have both unilaterally entered into the partnership to promote gender equality in the workplace, economic empowerment for women, and eliminating discrimination in the Vietnamese business community. It will also help to ensure long-term development for both enterprises and the business community.
