MOU Signing Ceremony Between Thuongmai University & Western Sydney University

Ha Noi, Wednesday 8 November 2023 - Thuongmai University (TMU) and Western Sydney University (WSU), Australia signed a Memorandum of Understanding, marking a milestone of strong cooperation and partnership between two universities in the presence of representatives from the Australian Embassy: Mr. Christopher Morley - Trade and Investment Counselor, Ms. Le Hien - Director of Trade Development; Mr. Kien Nguyen - Director of Trade and Investment of the State of New South Wales and Ms. Ngan Nguyen - Ha Noi Office Manager of AusCham Vietnam.

Participating from Thuongmai University delegation with presence of Associate Professor, PhD. Nguyen Hoang – Principal; Associate Professor, PhD. Ha Van Su - Vice Principal; Associate Professor, PhD. Pham Thi Thu Thuy - Head of Planning and Finance Department; Associate Professor, PhD. Do Thi Binh - Director of the Center for Science and Technology Research and Development; Dr. Marisha – Director of Global Connections & Quality Assurance; Dr. Phan Thu Trang – Head of Communications and Admissions Department; Dr. Dinh Thi Phuong Anh - Deputy Head of Scientific Management and Foreign Relations Department.

Attending the ceremony, on Western Sydney University's side, there was the presence of Professor, Dr. Brian Stout - Vice Principal; Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences; Dr. Garth Lean - Academic Lead for Tourism and Heritage; Ms. Nguyen Le - Director of Admissions for Indochina region.

This MOU commits to close cooperation between the two schools towards common goals; pursue internationalization of education; disseminating high-impact research; and strongly participate in activities related to the Sustainable Development Goals at all levels. At the heart of this partnership is a shared vision – to work together to develop and build academic and cultural exchanges in teaching, research and other activities.

The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Commerce and Western Sydney University (WSU), Australia has ended successfully. Through their efforts and commitment, we hope that both schools will be able to achieve more achievements and continue to develop the strong relationship and friendship between Australia and Vietnam.
