[Open for Applications] Australia-Vietnam Enhanced Economic Engagement Grant Pilot Program
Are you an Australian business, peak bodies, business association or industry organisations interested in enhancing trade and investment activities between Australia and Vietnam? You are invited to apply for funding under the Australia-Vietnam Enhanced Economic Engagement Grant Pilot Program. If so, consider applying for the Australia-Vietnam Enhanced Economic Engagement Grant Pilot Program (AVEG 2021) which aims to promote bilateral economic engagement, build industry, institutional and government linkages, and foster stakeholder relationships. Administered by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, AVEG will assist Australia and Vietnam to address our Enhanced Economic Engagement objectives to become top 10 trading partners and double two-way investment. In November 2020, Prime Minister Morrison announced the Mekong-Australia Partnership (MAP), including for boosting trade and investment through business-focused programs. With funding under the MAP, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) has opened a pilot grant program to:
- Promote Australia-Vietnam bilateral economic engagement;
- Build industry, institutional and government-to-government links;
- Leverage existing partnerships and foster engagement with key stakeholders.
The intended outcomes of the grant opportunity are to:
- Increase public awareness of Australia’s economic opportunities in Vietnam;
- Develop enduring partnerships across sectors in Australia and Vietnam; and
- Increase Australia’s capacity to effectively engage with Vietnam in existing and emerging areas of mutual economic interest.
AVEG grants range from $50,000 to $100,000 over three years. If successful, applicants must commence activity before 30 June 2021. For further information or to apply for AVEG 2021, see https://lnkd.in/gBti7a2 Applications close COB AEST, 14 May 2021.
