A research team from RMIT University, global innovation consultancy firm Consulus, and the RMIT Industry Advisory Board, have launched their joint research project 'Smart 4.0 Readiness Audit for Resilience in the Post-Pandemic Age in Vietnam'. The project will be conducted during a period of four months and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2021. The purpose of this research is to assess and form collective insights on Vietnam's readiness for Industry 4.0 and resilience in the post-pandemic age, across large enterprises in key industries such as Hospitality, Finance and Banking, Telecom and IT services, Real estate, F&B and Retail, Manufacturing, and Trading and International business. It aims to measure the ability of each enterprise, each industry, and Vietnam as a whole, to act in unity and create value in the age of disruption. The analysis and consolidated inputs will enable macro-policymakers to gauge the ability of businesses to innovate and adapt to changes in the domestic and international business climate and to make strategic directions to ensure innovative and sustainable development of the Vietnamese economy. Participating enterprises as well as other business organisations in Vietnam will also be immensely benefited by the research findings and recommendations from subject matter experts across industries. The project was officially launched on 21 June 2021 at the virtual ‘Shape the World Summit 2021’ by Professor Robert McClelland, Deputy Dean of School of Business & Management at RMIT University.
