“A TOAST TO PIEDMONT” AN ENZO BARTOLI WINE DINNER

Piedmont (‘Piemonte’ in Italian) is home to breathtaking landscapes and extraordinary cultural aspects, including one of the world’s most beloved types of wine – Barolo. With a traditional approach to their winemaking techniques, Enzo Bartoli honors the entire region’s wine variety. Enzo Bartoli is most famous for their collective effort with many local, small vineyards across Piedmont, boldly claiming to be Piedmont personified.
Arriving at Basilico restaurant on the evening of May 30th, Enzo Bartoli will bring four of their favorites to pair with our chefs’ five-course menu. First, awaken your senses with the combination of fruity and floral aromas in a glass of Rosato Piemonte 2022, paired with the unique flavors from a trio of Italian signature starters. Then, continue to rouse your taste buds with the powerful tastes of Barbera D’Asti Superiore 2019, paired with lobster raviolis with ricotta cheese, tomato sauce, and dried chili.

Moving on to our second course, diners will be wowed by the impressive dish of dry-aged Iberico pork with spring vegetable ragout. This mouthwatering treat is paired with the famous Piedmontese Barolo, with a highly-rated vintage year of 2018. Afterwards, we have the main act of the night: Basilico’s signature ‘Filetto di manzo’, steak medallion with green peppercorn sauce, accompanied by a glass of Barolo Bussia 2016. Supreme in its vintage year, this wine also has the esteemed privilege of coming from Bussia, one of Barolo’s five greatest vineyard districts and the first-ever Barolo cru to be vinified as a single-district wine! Last but not least, bid the night farewell with a masterful dessert of latte mousse with chocolate jelly, pistachio, and banana ice cream.
