VBCWE 2023 Business Forum "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (D,E&I) - ESG Key Factors in Sustainable Development

Diverse, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) culture is an essential trend and a goal that many businesses pursue on their sustainable developmentjourney. DE&I is an important component associated with the Social aspect of ESG (Environment, Social, Governance), where businesses create an equal environment for employees, aspace where they can be proud, confident, and true to themselves, without gender discrimination, family circumstances, or differences in each person's background.

Over the past five years, with the support of DFAT  through the Investing in Women project, theVietnam Business Coalition for Women's Empowerment (VBCWE) has made pioneering contributions to promoting gender equality in the workplace, focusing on the private sector. It has contributed to creating equal and fair value for workers. VBCWE has been actively promoting diversity and inclusion (D&I),increasing employment opportunities and job quality for women, expanding and targeting the female workforce in industrial zones, disabled women, women-ledenterprises, and employment opportunities related to childcare policies andsupport, training, and enhancing soft skills and technology to enable workers to adapt and keep pace with the trends of employment in the context of developing intelligent technology. These are the goals of VBCWE for the next five-year development phase, and they are also among the objectives pursued bythe Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD).

With these significances in mind, VBCWE, in collaboration with the VBCSD, is organizing VBCWE 2023 Business Forum: Diverse, Equity, and Inclusion – ESG key factors in Sustainable Development- an important component in the sustainable development of ESG. This forum is designed for businesses, business associations, social organizations, and members within the VBCWE network, along with leaders who are interested in and practice DE&I promotion in Vietnam.The forum provides an opportunity for leaders and managers to discuss and share goals and successful practices in the sustainable ESG development of businesses, emphasizing the values of diversity, equity and inclusion culture within those enterprises.
