Vietnam–Jordan Textile Industry Roundtable Successfully Held in Hanoi: Strengthening Investment Pathways and Industrial Cooperation
The Vietnam - Jordan Textile Industry Roundtable took place on 13th November 2025 at JW Marriott Hanoi, marking a significant step toward expanding bilateral cooperation and investment flows between the two countries’ textile and apparel sectors.
Co-organized by the Ramsay McDonald Group (RMCD-Vietnam), Gherzi, and the Vietnam Textile & Apparel Association (VITAS), the high-level event brought together 19 senior representatives from 14 leading Vietnamese manufacturers and industrial park developers, alongside Jordan’s official delegation and international advisers.
Strategic Platform for Investment Dialogue
The Roundtable served as an executive-level platform for Jordan to present its vision of becoming a new global sourcing destination and an emerging hub for premium, sustainable textile and apparel manufacturing. The agenda included policy briefings, investment framework discussions, and a dedicated 10-minute presentation by RMCD Vietnam—developed in collaboration with Gherzi—highlighting Jordan’s competitive advantages and opportunities for Vietnamese investors.
Discussions also touched on Jordan’s free trade access to the US, EU, and key global markets; strong incentives for industrial investors; and its national roadmap for energy and water sustainability. Vietnamese participants expressed keen interest in Jordan’s investment environment, tax benefits under multiple FTAs, and potential collaboration models.
RMCD Vietnam’s Role as a Strategic Partner
As the official consulting partner to Gherzi under a signed consultancy agreement, RMCD Vietnam played a central role in delivering the event professionally and successfully, including:
- Identifying and inviting key Vietnamese and FDI companies across the supply chain;
- Coordinating closely with VITAS and supporting outreach via email, phone, and direct engagement;
- Traveling to Hanoi in advance to ensure venue readiness and translation logistics;
- Preparing and translating all presentation materials into Vietnamese;
- Supporting Gherzi and the Jordanian delegation in presenting their investment framework effectively;
- Maintaining alignment with Gherzi's methodology and reporting standards under IFC–World Bank supervision.
This collaborative model reflects RMCD’s transition from a traditional intermediary role to that of a strategic consulting partner capable of delivering end-to-end coordination, industry engagement, and investor facilitation.
Strong Industry Participation
The Roundtable welcomed major industry names. Their presence underscored Vietnam’s strong interest in exploring new production networks abroad while expanding vertically integrated ecosystems that complement existing strengths in MMF fabrics, woven textiles, and high-tech apparel manufacturing.
Future Collaboration Prospects
During the discussions, enterprises raised several strategic questions regarding Jordan’s investment laws, raw material sourcing, labor policies for foreign workers, and the potential for building a concrete action plan between the two countries’ textile associations.
They also proposed organizing a business delegation to Jordan in early 2026 to explore sites, industrial zones, and partnership opportunities firsthand.
A Forward-Looking Partnership
The success of this Roundtable marks an important milestone in advancing Vietnam–Jordan economic cooperation. With RMCD Vietnam’s strong industry network and advisory capabilities, and Gherzi’s global expertise, the initiative is expected to generate new investment channels and strengthen cross-border supply chain integration.
